Lib Dems Select Local Champion Alex Lock for Lloyds and Corby Village By-election

Following the resignation of a Reform councillor, a by-election will be held on the 9th of October for Lloyds and Corby Village ward. Looking to represent local people, and particularly champion our let down SEND children, is Liberal Democrat Alex Lock. A local resident, Alex cares passionately about the area - he has been involved in litter picking, in dealing with local flooding problems and campaigning for SEND provision for our kids.
Alex works in IT, and has done for over a decade - delivering for businesses and stakeholders on a variety of projects. He is no stranger to delivering on his promises. Alex also holds a Masters in Policy, which he has put to use advocating for local children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. SEND provision is important to Alex, he knows that providing our children with the best education is the key to unlocking their future - but it isn't just about campaigning for Alex, it is personal. Alex has two children, both of whom have additional needs, and for whom he has been a tireless advocate against an underfunded and under supported local provision.
The choice is for the local people in Lloyds and Corby Village on the 9th of October. They can either have yet another here-today-and-gone-tomorrow Reform councillor who listens to Zia Yousef and Nigel Farage and not local people, or a tireless local campaigner in Alex who will represent local voices and work to make Corby better.
Alex has made a video introducing his campaign. If you have any questions for Alex or want to help him campaign, please drop us an email. If you want to join Alex as a Lib Dem member, just click Join at the top of the page.
