Sarah's Background

Sarah was born in Chicago, Illinois, in the United States and grew up in the US before moving to Britain. She chose to make her home here in the UK, and has worked in a number of roles - mostly within finance but most recently she has been working within a socially conscious insurance company. Sarah has a keen interest in the environment and also tennis.

• Investing in the NHS and social care, and ensuring that frontline workers are paid properly and protected.
• Boosting the local economy and creating green jobs, by supporting small businesses, innovation, and renewable energy.
• Improving the quality and affordability of education, from early years to lifelong learning, and reducing the attainment gap.
• Protecting the environment and tackling the climate emergency, by reducing emissions, promoting public transport, and enhancing green spaces.
• Strengthening the rights and opportunities of individuals, and combating discrimination and hate crime.
• Reforming the political system and restoring trust in democracy, by introducing proportional representation and devolving power to local communities.
